Our volumetric concrete mixers store all the necessary components for a concrete mixer – water, cement, and aggregate (rock, sand, gravel) in compartments within our lorries and the concrete is then mixed on site. Volumetric concrete is mixed by volume of material, rather than weight and mixes can be changes during a project.
That depends on what type of job you are doing. We can supply any type of concrete and any mix. We also supply all admixtures including accelerators, retarders, and fibres, on request. If you do not know what type of concrete you need, our team can advise you.
Whether you require concrete for a new driveway or a basement, it can be tricky to estimate how much you may need. Concrete is measured as a volume, calculated by multiplying the width x length x depth. This generates the cubic metre measurements. To arrange your delivery of concrete, you will need to calculate how much concrete you need. We will need to know where you are based and access requirements because our concrete trucks will require safe and appropriate access.
We can discuss access to your site and can we can ensure that you get a concrete pump if required. Many customers choose concrete pump hire because it increases pouring speed and this becomes simpler and faster. With concrete pump hire you will never require wheelbarrows or cranes, so it also reduces the labour involved.
Our concrete pumps allow access to hard-to-access areas and our ground line pumps reach up to 50 metres (though we can pump further on request).
We generally require around 24 hours’ notice but can also sometimes offer same-day concrete deliveries. With our volumetric mixers, there is flexibility around concrete delivery volume and mix design. You only pay for the concrete that is laid and there is never any waste.

Concrete sets through a chemical reaction and this happens as soon as cement and water are mixed together. This normally means you will have around one to two hours to work with the concrete. Higher-grade concretes generally have less time to work with than lower grades.
